Default Airport security scans

Hello All

Im interested if anyone has had any issues or concern when camera equipment is scanned at security in airports. Despite assurances by staff that no damage is done, my 7D needed a hard reset after being scanned at Cologne airport, It may be just a coincidence but I feel that such delicate equipment regardless of screening must be at risk when subjected to such treatment

I have had my gear through a few x-rays and have not experienced any issues. But then again, I shoot Nikon

Oh please shut up would you I've never had problems with my 50d or 20d. I have however heard myths about x-rays wiping cheap SD cards. The only thing (that I know of) is if you shoot film like me. The x-rays will kill un developed film.

Oh last thing. I will be ok, as you shoot with a real camera

Never an issue with my 500D. I carry everything in a Swiss Gear backpack, including my Sony laptop. I take the laptop out for the screening, but the rest just stays in the backpack and goes through with no issues or questions so far.

I've had all my gear scanned numerous times. No issues to report.

I never had an issue with mine, but I also make sure I remove the battery and cards too.
