Im not sure if this is the right place. Sorry if its wrong.
So i have a canon 1000D and if at ISO 800, F3.5, the shutter speed is around 15-25. What could i possibly get at f1.8 (50mm)? And if its extremes, at ISO 1600? P.S. Count by 1/3 stop increments. Thanks! |

f/3.5 is 1 2/3 stops more. So if we assume 1/15th then you're talking 1/50th, if we assume 1/25th then you're talking 1/80th.
Bumping up to 1600 gives you an extra stop for each, so 1/100th and 1/160th.

It can be a great way to learn more about exposure and depth of field. In the Canon world it's cheap too.

Speak for yourself. Ive done some decent shots at 1/20th at 50mm f/2 at ridiculous ISOs because I had to.
