M42 Chinon 55mm 1.7 lens blury

Hi, I bought an adapter ring for M42 screw lenses for my canon 50D.

I just got a Chinon 55mm 1.7 lens for it, my question/doubt/problem/issue is when trying to focus, I never get a sharp image thru the viewfinder but they come OK when I see them in the LCD screen.

I only know if the picture is OK once I already shot it.

wondering if this is normal for the type of lens, or if anyone has a tip when focusing.

Check the diopter adjustment for the viewfinder. You may have knocked it off, if what you're seeing isn't matching what's hitting the sensor.

thanks a lot inkista yeah, I hadn't noticed my diopter was off a bit, I guess it was adjusted for my previews lens, thanks again, NOW I really get to enjoy my lens.
