I am having issues with my Canon cameras and Tamron Lenses. I have a Canon 20d and a Canon 7d which I just bought. I have had problems with my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 with my 20d and err 99. I sent the lens to Tamron and they repaired it 2 times. I purchased my Canon 7d and had an error 1 so Tamron replaced the lens which was great, but I tried the new lens and it had an error. So I searched the internet and found this information:
tamron Canon Rumors The outer crosstype AF points do not work properly. It was discovered that Tamron used Lens ID’s that Canon no longer supported. Has anyone had this problem and if so, what did you do? My Tamron lens is still under warranty and if it's going to have this problem, I told them I would like a refund, which I probably won't get. The Canon is quite expensive. |
