Hi,
I'm having Canon T2i. When ever i shoot in Raw, 20% of my images doesn't show up correctly. I mean -- unable to see them once downloaded it say "Invalid Image"; where as ii displays correctly in camera. I searched over the internet and didn't find any acceptable solution. At first i thought, my card has some problems, i used a new one and same result. This happens only with Raw format not with Jpeg. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

This probably is an issue with canon's raw codec on windows 7 64 bit. I had a very similar issue with the cr2 codec, some files would work, others would not, then they would, then they wouldnt, its a fine mess canons made by not officially supporting 64 bit technology. very backwards thinking actually since the best computers for digital PP are 64 bit.
Only solution I can offer is paying for the third party codec from fast picture viewer I know its a bit of a piss off that you have to buy third party software to support something that should already have support from the original manufacture, but hey... there it is. |

Sounds more like a memory card issue.

Have your put in a new memory card, formatted it properly, then tried? It looks like a typical corruption issue.

Just to be clear - you can view them in camera, but once you download them you cannot view them?
What software are you using? If you are using a MS windows viewer, you stand no chance. The bundled RAW viewer/ utility that came with your camera should be fine. Download the Lightroom 3 trial and see if that helps. What is your OS set up? |
