Default canon rebel xs help

i have a canon rebel xs and have some basic knowledge about it but that is all.....i am in a digital photo class in college to help me learn some more things about it but the instructor wants me to turn off the date/time on the camera....does anyone know how to do this, i have even looked through the manual several times and can only find out to adjust the date/time but no where does it say how to make it not appear on my photos...any help???

Huh? As far as I know, the Canon dSLRs don't put visible timestamps onto images. Nobody really needs that, since the date/time information is embedded in the EXIF. Most digital cameras don't do this, it's more of a feature from the film era, when you'd have no other way of knowing when you took it.

Do you mean toggling the histogram on/off on the LCD display? The DISP button should do that.

thank you so much....i didnt think so either...but i wanted someone else to tell me that before i tell her she is wrong, i think she may have confused my project with someone elses
