Help required - Canon 7D

Hi everyone,
I own Canon 7D and discovered a problem yesterday. The last time I used internal flash was a month ago or so, since then I have been using Canon 430EXII whereever flash was required. Last night when I needed the internal flash and When I try to open the open it by pressing the button on front left side, nothing happened. Upon further discovery i.e. "Menu > Flash Control > Built-in flash func. setting" a message came up "This menu cannot be displayed. External flash is attached" however, there was no external flash attached.

I attached Canon 430EXII, it was working properly but when I went into "Menu > Flash Control > External flash func. setting", all the settings that I could do to make groups of master and slave flash were gone and simple settings were there.

Help is reqruied from the Pros and anyone who had similar problem.

Maybe an issue with the micro-switch. Check this for more info. "http://photo.net/canon-eos-digital-camera-forum/00Vcs8"
