He means late as in asking for opinions on whether it's good or not AFTER you've already bought it. Not going to change anything, is it? It's not like positive opinions are suddenly going to mean your T2i added features to itself. It is what it is. Only you can say if it was the right camera for you to buy.

Sites I would recommend:

Dpreview's in-depth review
Also their xxxxD & xxxD forum for users's opinions on the camera (be aware, though, this is a pretty unruly forum with a lot of blind-leading-the-blind on occasion ).

POTN's EOS Digital Cameras forum

The Digital Picture's review

Fred Miranda Reviews. This is a database of reviews by forum members on particular pieces of equipment.

Default I love my T2i !!!

This camera is fantastic! I like all of the features. I was saving for a 7d, but decided during Christmas 2010 to buy one. I take it everywhere with me. Usually on Sunday evenings (weather permitting) you'll find me and my T2i on the San Antonio Riverwalk. I've purchased more lenses ( Canon 75-300mm, Canon 80-200mm, a few filters, lens attachments, tripod, battery grip, and a few other things ) and am putting aside some ca$h for a 580 EX ii. With 18 mp, 1080p HD video, and capabilities that match higher end cameras, I am thoroughly impressed and glad of my purchase. Positively, no regrets! Alot of good features to learn on w/o many limitations. I'm still planning on buying a 7d. How do you like yours?

Have a nice day,

Robert

My first DSLR was an Xti. Was it a fantastic body? Not really, but it got the job done. Honestly, at least in my opinion, the camera should be great. I got plenty of great photos before upgrading to the 5D MkII. The camera will have it's limitations, but you should be pretty happy with it.

You say you got the kit lens. 18-55 I assume? It will offer a good range for the wide and normal range, but don't expect it to be too fast and have a great reach.

My advice is learn the strengths of the camera body, and then get lenses that will benefit. A fancy body is nice, but nothing without a good lens.
