P/Av/Tv Modes = 3shots?

Howdy fellow shooters!

As dumb a question as this might sound, I've been trying to figure out whether it was a setting that I did or was it by default, and in the modes for "P, Av or Tv" my Canon SX10 IS takes 3 shots - like in different exposures.. (light, medium, dark).

In my defense, I'm still learning.. :P

So, any advise as to how I can fix this or may be just have single shots in these modes too, would be helpful..

You've enabled the automatic bracketing function. Find in your manual how to turn it on/off
