Default Why I bought a canon 550D / T2i

Hey everyone,

I started out in the world of photography a few months back and at the time knew little about cameras. I have recently started a blog about my learnings so far and those to come.

I have just posted my reasons as to why I bought a Canon 550D

Adam Badge Photography

My reasons were pretty basic, great price and outstanding video but I hope the blog helps a little.

Congrats on your camera, it is indeed a fine choice as a starter camera, and should serve you well. Just a minor correction, the rebel line is an entry level line, they are not the semi-pro (prosumer) line, that is the 50D (discontinued a couple of days ago) and the 7D.

Several things distinguish the two, but the main thing is the body. The Rebel is plastic, the 50D and 7d are magnesium alloy and have some weather sealing where the Rebel does not.
And the Rebel is significantly smaller in the hand.

Rebels are great cameras, and are a really good place to start in the Canon platform.
