Canon PowerShot S90 Color Issue

Hey all,

I've tried calling Canon but I'm currently in Vietnam therefor I can't get it repaired till I come back to the US in a few months for it to be covered under warranty.

Here's the problem: on any setting including automatic, the colors are being washed up. The screen is all purple and has lines going through it. SOMETIMES the purple and lines go away and I can SOMETIMES take a normal picture (but very rarely) - usually very randomly after taking a few shots.

Take a look at the two pictures attached. Both are washed up. If you notice, everything bright and white washes downward or upward into a green color.

I'm not much of a tech with cameras but it seems like an internal computer issue. I've always taken good care of the camera.

My question is: Anything I can do on my end? Is it fixable at a regular camera shop that may void the warranty? I won't be coming home for another few months. Appreciate the help.
