Default Flash Card

Just ordered the Canon 7D, along with a SanDisk 8GB Ultra CompactFlash card.

Am I able to use the Ultra flash card, as opposed to the Extreme?....other than speed, is there a difference?

thanks for your replies.

Higher speed cards do have their use, and the Ultra/Extreme cards are another breed than the standard CF cards. On the 7D, you'll be able to clear the camera's buffer faster which means faster and longer continuous shooting. They'll also be useful if you do any kind of video work.

The Ultra/Extreme cards are also designed for more difficult working environments (dust, cold, moisture) and come with recovery software.

I personally have Extreme III cards for my D300s (the 7D's competitor).
