Canon Factory Refurbished Lens

Has anyone bought a Factory Refurbished lens from B&H Photo? Were you satisfied with buying the lens. I am thinking about getting a canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens. New is $519.00 and Refurbished is $469.00. The only difference I see is the warranty.

How do you like refurbished lens compared to new lens?

Wow, that is not a very big price difference. I have no experience with refurbished lenses, but honestly, for only $50 savings less than 10% off, I would probably skip it and go with a new lens under full warranty. If we were talking about a higher savings, 25-50%, that would catch my attention and I would really consider it.

True, assuming you can still get the 70-300 IS new (and not the new L version at 3x the price)

Amazon's got it in stock for $495, so maybe sanity has prevailed, and they're not replacing it with the L.
