Default Finally ordered my new stuff

Well after weeks of reading and debating on what to start with I finally ordered my new stuff. I have a 7d coming through Canon using the customer loyality program and I ordered a 24-70 F2.8L coming as well. I figure that coming from a Rebel XT and a kit 18-55 this should be a huge jump in alowing me to get some sharper shots. I had throught about going with a 17-55 F2.8 but after looking at the data on a lot of my shots that I have taken I see that very few of my shots fell at the very wide end of the focal range. I am hoping I made the right decision on starting with this lens. The next lens will be the 70-200 F2.8L IS II, this will be ordered probably in March. I was going to go with this one first, but I figure this time of year I will use the 24-70 more now and when football starts up next year I will have ordered the 70-200 by then. I am excited and can not wait to start playing with the new toys.

OK, you've had it a whole day now. Where are the pictures?

Hope you're enjoying it, that's my dream set up including the 70-200. (drool)

Well I have not had as much time to play with it as a like, but some of the shots that I have taken so far are not as sharp as I was expecting, but I am sure it is me and I am not shooting in the best of places either (inside a middle school gym). I did put one picture up in the critique animal pictures, but the lighting was real harsh.

Will just have to set some days aside to do nothing but shoot pictures.
