Default shutter or sensor problem?

G'day guys,
I've recently bought a broken 20D with plans to fix it but its proving harder than i thought identifying the problem.
I've been posting on another forum and getting some very helpful answers but i'm just not 100% sure what's going on yet. I really don't wanna go taking apart my camera and find out i've replaced the wrong part.

Heres the link to my post on the other forum..

PLEASE HELP 20D problem - Canon Digital Photography Forums

i've posted a lot of sample shots under different conditions and tried to give as much info as i can.

Any questions, comments, suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks in advance..

Not a clue. Honestly, the POTN guys are going to be your best source for this kind of info. Those guys have a ton of Canon know-how, and a lot of mad DIYers who gut and strip their dSLRs and fix stuff on their own. This board, not so much with the mad electronics mavens who desolder with wild abandon.
