Question on what else I would need to make this work

Hi! I'm getting ready to invest in a wireless shutter and triggers. Can you please tell me what else i may need to get this up and running? Or does it really depend on the manufacturer?
I remember reading about a transmitter of some sorts? Forgive me if this is a silly question.

I have a Canon T1i
