I am new to my 580EX II and have recently learned about Flash Exposure Compensation. To my understanding, it can be set on either my camera (5D Mark II) or flash itself. I prefer to use the camera, but have noticed that whatever I dial into the camera, for example +2, doesn't register on the Speedlite's LCD. When I press the flash's center dial, it shows 0. Is this normal or am I missing something? Thanks for any help!

"If I recall correctly, FEC on the flash (if not set to 0) will override the camera setting. So if you set the camera to -1 and the flash to +1, you will get +1."
