Default Best Lense for around $400 AU

I was wondering what would be the best lense for around that price, or anything else.
i like to landscape photography, and sports. 90% of my shots are taken at a beach.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks,
CJ

The kit lens will be fine for the landscapes.
What sort of sports?

It looks like you may need a bit of reach. If so then the CANON EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Zoom Lens for $297 at DD photographics may meet your needs. It is good value for money

The other alternative is to see if you can pick up a second hand 100mm prime off ebay (new ones are above your price range)

Almost any lens is good for long exposures at night.
