Default New to Forum, Fairly Fresh to Photography

so....last time i really touched a camera for more than just point n shoot was about five years ago in high school working more with film than digital photos. im trying to get back into it now that life is allowing for more leisure time.

now my question is what would you suggest for a starting camera? any help would be great.

These are two of Canon's entry level DSLRs. I have the XS myself and have not outgrown it.

I also just got in photography about 3 weeks ago lol. I got the Canon XS and have loved it so far. I cant compare it to any others since I have no experience with them, but I think you would be very happy with it, the quality is great, the menus are easy to use, and the selection of lens' are great for Canon. Not to mention there are almost ALWAYS package deals with it (I got mine with the 75-300mm lens, Lowepro case, and a 2 year warranty) so its pretty good for saving some cash too. Good luck!
