Hi. I got my 7D back in December. I use a 580EXII flash but it almost always will get loose as the day goes on and sometimes I catch it just as it's nearing falling out of the shoe. Anyone else have this problem (or a solution?) It seems like it locks tight, but as I walk with it (sometimes over the course of only a couple hours) it comes loose and starts sliding out... ugh!

Are you making sure it's locked?

I assume so... I move the little slider over to the right after putting the base all the way into the shoe and it seems pretty sturdy. And when I first put it in I have to push the little button to unlock it to get it out.

Odd. I'd have someone check it out. Even if it's just some one with more experience or someone working at a camera store of some sort (a reputable one, of course). Just to see if something is wrong.

Have you checked that pushing the slider over actually pushes the locking pin into place? (I.e., with the flash unmounted, slide the locking lever over, and see if the locking pin on the foot pushes out, like it's supposed to).
