Reset my XTI and now shutter speed wont go above 1/200

This is my first dslr and I was playing around with the settings and wanted it all back to normal so I hit reset all or all settings, something like that. Well now it only goes to 1/200 where before it went ot either 1/3000 or 1/2500. Is there a setting that it reset? Thanks so much.

Are you using the flash? The XTi's max. sync speed is 1/200s, and if the flash is up, you may be limited to 1/200s. Once you turn the flash off, you should be able to use any shutter speed you want.
