which would you choose and why? (strictly body, unless you have lens preference as well)
i was thinking of purchasing a friend's hardly used D200 for $500 or a brand new T2i but i can decide which is worth more.. an old professional 10mp or new mid-grade 18mp? it will be my first DSLR. i take pictures of everything: landscape, nature, sports, and will now try portraits. any advice would be helpful. i know the D200 is old, that is what is holding back from buying it instantly.. but what about the faster shutter speed, larger sensor, 5fps, metal body, viewfinder magnification, and wi-fi readiness of the D200? it has a lot of pro features that you cant get for the money with the T2i.. where as the T2i has new features and technology on its side. i think its a real toss-up. i dont care much about a warranty. and if there isnt much from a pixel standpoint, then wouldnt the D200 be a better deal for $500, especially if he throws in a lens and or battery.. or whatever else he may have lying around. the T2i has new technology.. i know the ISO is far better, has LIVE view, can record movies, larger LCD and 1/2 the weight.. still not sure.. thank you |
