Default Canon SX20 vs Panasonic FZ35?

I've narrowed down my P&S choices to the Canon SX20 and Panasonic FZ35. At this point I keep flip flopping back and forth on which one to get. I know there are some differences between the two, but I think I just need to hear if anyone has any swaying arguments either way.

Searching the forums I have seen some of the picture from each and have been impressed. I feel like I won't be making a wrong decision either way.

Those both are great cameras. The FZ35 shoots raw, that might be important to you if you want do correct white balance, or pull back details from under/over exposure. The FZ35 also shoots faster continuously at 2.3fps vs 0.7fps. Snapsort has a good breakdown of the differences between the FZ35 and SX20.

Thanks, that's really good comparison website. I hadn't seen that one before.

From what you have in your sig, it looks like you've decided on the Panasonic.
I was facing the exact same dilemma (with the SX20) and ended up buying an FZ35 too!

How are you enjoying yours?

Possibly because they're both very new?

I know there were people that bought the FZ35 because the FZ40 wasn't out yet, and I don't think the SX30 had even been released when this thread was started.
