Default Is there a trick to conecting Canon Digital Cameras?
I just got a Canon Powershot camera. I took some pics and tried puting them on my moms computer. The computer did not respond to the camera at all. I installed the software that came with it and connected it with the USB wire that came with the camera. This also happens with other canon powershots we tried to connect yet it works for my moms computer...
If anyone could help ASAP that would be great!

might be a silly question,, but did you turn the camera on after you connected it? The computer should have seen it,, specially after you installed the software.. DAve

It would help to know which operating system (Linux, MacOS, Windows, something else) your mom is running on her computer.

My parents use Linux, my in-laws use MacOS.
