Default Most Coveted Camera?

I am curious to see what you experienced folk think.

What is your most Coveted Digital SLR Camera?

Would it make your photography better?

Not a DSLR, it is a Leica M9. I think it would because it is better suited for the type of shooting I enjoy most. I am doing it with a DSLR (40D) but i fail to get the type of images I get with a film Leica.

My Canon 5DMkII. Would it make my photography better? No, experience and practice has done that.

A Mamiya RZ33.

It would because I shot with an RB67 for over 20 years. I'm have a real hard time with using a DSLR and the tiny viewfinder. Plus the perspective is all wrong.

As for reality, I will probably upgrade to a 7d. Main reason is the 100% viewfinder.

Default Most coveted digital camera

Coveted? Nope, they're just cameras.

My favourite digital camera? Well two actually. My Leica M8 for a walkabout camera for people shots and my Canon 5D Mk2 with Leica R lenses for macro and long lens shots.

Do they make my photography better? Nope, they're just cameras.

I learnt photography mostly a fully manual Pentax 67 medium format camera and Velvia 50 film so digital cameras are just a different way of recording an image.

Pete.

I love my old Minolta X700 35mm slr. I learned most of what I know, or think I know, about photography with this fine camera. It took great shots despite my interference. I still have it, the minolta auto winder and a few lenses and some close-up adaptors, which worked well. I never use it anymore, the one thing that really bugged me was waiting for the film to be developed, and the fact that there was always 2-5 pictures missing from my roll of film no matter where I had them developed, so digital instant gratification won out, also helped me to understand where those missing shots went.
