AF with new sigma and 450d

Hi all,

I'm off on safari soon, would've liked to buy a canon 2.8 70-200 is + a 2x extender, but now the mark II is a bit out of my budget. Would like to know if I will be able to use AF with the new Sigma 2.8 70-200 os + the 2x extender ?

You may be better off renting, especially if this is a one-time or rare event. A 100-400 gives you the same reach and aperture, but no image degradation from the TC. Definitely cheaper!
