I just got a 550D. It stopped working. Help!!!

Hi,

I just bought a Canon 550D (Rebel T2i) and it's great. Here's the problem: When I switch to ON, it doesn't turn on. It only turns on if I take the battery out and put it back again. After that, the screen shows that the battery is full.

Why is this happening?

Also, it appears that the next day the camera won't start at all. I'm currently charging the battery.

Can you explain why is this happening? Is it my fault in any way?

Get back & complain to the dealer. Being new, try to get it replaced with a brand new one.

I will do that tomorrow morning. Do you think it's the camera or the battery?

Try it with your spare battery. You have a spare, right?

Not likely that two batteries will be defective.

I didn't manage to buy one yet. I have the camera for only one week.

So after charging the battery, the camera works again, but everytime I turn it OFF, I have to take the battery out to turn it back ON. This happens with a full battery.
