I am looking for help! i have a canon 500d, lost my manual, does anyone no what size the sensor is on this camera, as i am going to buy a short zoom other than canon, and i want to make sure i am buying the right lens to match the sensor.

It's called APS-C and has a 1.6x zoom/crop factor.

EF or EF-S Lens mounts will work just fine with your body.
