I've a canon T1i, using kit 18-55mm. I'm trying to the following -
1. in mode M 2. 1/160, F/11, ISO400 3. When I look thru viewfinder, Exposure is set to -2 and when I try to change Exposure setting, exposure compensation is grayed out and AEB is enabled. I can only move the dial to select +-1 0r +-2. My pictures are coming dark, what can I do to get the exposure move from -2 to 0? ps. I tried moving to default setting. >>I'm just trying to set up to take this shot Code:

In Manual, you don't have exposure compensation, because you control the exposure explicitly through iso/aperture/shutter speed. If you need two more stops, then you gotta find 'em somewhere. Moving the iso from 400 to 800 will get you one, moving the aperture from f/11 to f/8 will get you the other.
Not sure why you'd have AEB set, though.

As an side: you wont get much in the way of a moon shot with the 18-55.
