Hi
I am now looking to upgrade from my Olympus E-500 and am wanting to get the Canon 7D . I will be using it for outside photo's mainly macro and some shots of interesting buildings. I want to buy the best lenses I can (advice on these would also be great) and was wondering if at a later date I wanted to upgrade to a 5Dmk11 would I be able to use them on it. Thanks |

Three good places to go for reviews on Canon lenses would be the-digital-picture, the Fred Miranda forum's reviews, and lensrentals.com (most of their Canon lens pages have great mini reviews on the bottom).
I'm also not sure I'd recommend not getting ANY EF-S lenses at all, as it's going to be very hard to equip yourself for wide angle shooting without going EF-S. And good lenses will hold value pretty well, so selling your EF-S to equip for full frame is always an option. But I do agree, you don't want to get an all-EF-S lens lineup if you're planning on getting a full frame Canon in the near future.

canon's 10-22 EF-S is a VERY nice lens and is fantastic for ultra wide angle shots of buildings.... and they've sold for essentially the same price for years
