Default 7D w/24-70 f/2.8L ...issues.

Recently I purchased a new 7D body as an upgrade from an Xsi...thanks to everyone that helped me out on that purchase!
With my 24-70 on the new 7D body, I am now having problems getting sharp/ crisp images when shooting any type of slow moving objects such as animals or children moving around quickly (even at higher shutter speeds). It seems to happen more when a picture is a little over exposed/ taken in brighter light. I have tried everything I can think of...read the entire 7D owners manual (never done that before), shot on Manual, Program Auto..ect.
I have heard of people having to do something with the 7D bodies to get the most out of their lens'....is this true, or false? If true, any hints or clues on what to do?
My 50 f/1.4 takes amazing shots out of the box with the 7D body, and so does my 10-22 efs, why not my 24-70?

AF microadjustment may be what you're looking for, page 211 in your manual.
