Default Query on EOS Utility

New to Canon, I have installed the EOS Utility for downloading pics from camera to computer. But I did not find any option for deleting pics on the card. EOS Utility downloads pics but also leaves them on the memory card and I have to manually delete them. Have I missed something?

You should get in to the habit of reformatting the card after each upload of photos. Much quicker than deleting one by one. Only do it after you are certain that the photos uploaded correctly(open them in your editor of choice or in Windows itself) & you have backups of each photo. This is the process I use all the time. You'll have to check to see exactly how that is done on your camera.

You should never allow the uploading software to automatically erase photos after uploading. What if they got corrupted or something? You would be stuck & have to find a utility to hunt for your erased files. Not fun!!

Thanks! Nikon had that facility in their software so I was looking for it in Canon too.
