Default 17 - 40 F4 L & 70 - 200 F4 L in the mail

Well not yet just waiting for this payment to clear and I'll put the order in hopefully tomorrow or the next day. I can't wait to finally have a quality telephoto and wide angle lens to work with. I've used both these lens in the past and loved them so I can't wait for them to finally join the family.

I will now have my most used focal lengths covered with good glass.

No more big photography related expenses for a few years now that I have a baby on the way. Just small odds and ends like reflectors, smaller strobes, gels, umbrellas, light stands ect.

I will likely sell the 70-200 F4 L in the next two years so I can get the 70-200 F2.8 L IS but this lens holds it's value well. I decided I really didn't need F2.8 yet or Image Stabilization since I use tend to use telephotos in a studio setting or outside on sunny days. I would love that 17mm new Tilt Shift lens but no way am I paying 3 grand for something like that, at least not yet.

Now it may be time to looking into getting some insurance for all this stuff, what do you think?

Good stuff!

Content insurance is pretty cheap and usually covers 1/4 of your insured value when out of your residence. Basically if you have $20,000 in content insurance, you are covered for $20,000 in your home, and if your bag got swiped out in public, you are covered for $5000 there.

I went to the store today in person and bought them. Now my camera bag is stuffed I got room for nothing else. Feels great to finally have the majority of my dream lens.

Good cheers on the new gadgets!
The 70-200 F4L is the cutest white lens of the Canon line up. My favorite when out in the wide open spaces. It's small and petite when mounted on the 5D. It's not as bulky and massive as the other white lenses.
The 17-40 F4 is great for interiors and landscapes!
All the best!
