a moment of weakness

I was in the store to buy the 300mm F4 and a photog under some financial pressure came in looking to offload a mint version of the 70-200mm F2.8 IS lens with not a scratch, with filters, tripod collar, caps and hood all in place.

The store offered him a cheeky trade-in and I offered him $50 more... and he accepted.

I got it for 40% less than retail.... the bargain of the century!

I will sell my F4 version for near what I paid for it and will add a 1.4 extender... which then solves all my problems!

There are apparently different version s of this len - I'd give my right arm for any one of them. Lucky you.!!!
