Default dramatic skies?

Before

After

Basically, I used LOTS of layers, and took this same photo at a few different exposures. you alt + mask each exposure and put them each as a layer over one of the photos. paint over the mask where you want each layer to be visible.

I also put in a different sky (that's obviously not the sky in the original). you select the sky somehow, and duplicate the top exposure layer, then, deleting the mask on the layer you duplicated, do alt + mask again with the sky selected. put the sky you want as a layer under the duplicated layer.

and then i added a vignette. and stuff. haha

BTW, i don't know if any of this made that much sense, because i figured most of it out on my own and from tutorials, so i don't really remember what to call things.

i hope you get the basic idea though?

HaHa that's ok, I'm usually self thought also and i have to think hard on how to explain things...I know what the buttons look like but can't ever remember what there called. I love the look, I'm usually into tons of contrast and dramatic editing, so good job on that, the only little part that caught my attention in a confused way, was the mountain, not sure if the shade is a tiny bit off, but it doesn't entirely belong, everything is so warm in your picture and then bright blue mountain? so beside that, it's freaken awesome!!! keep it up

Very nice indeed. I agree with Chele. Give this a try, clone the red tree basically try and make it a little rounder and cover the mountain. I see were you had to devide the sky from the picture to add the new sky but try cloning and cover it up. At first glance of the original i thought it was the ocean. LOL.

Otherwise nice job.
