Your sky replacement looks good. I would suggest straightening the horizon, though.

The sky replacement is awesome! I don't think the horizon is crooked though, just that part of concrete in the middle is (sunken into the ground a bit), which isn't your fault That's what it looks like to me anyway!

Great tutorial and nice PP work on your sky.

Blown out skies are a common problem and one of the best fixes is a graduated Neutral Density filter GND because it leaves some detail for you to work with in PP.

Whilst your sky looks great, it looks a little flat and not the sky I would expect to see in the original shot; the contrast and perspective of the sky is not the same as the perspective of the shot.

An option here is to add another layer with some real sky that has the right perspective from another shot.

Follow the tutorial up to the mask layer and then delete the blown out sky leaving the layer with the new sky showing through underneath. You can then manipulate the sky layer contrast and perspective to suit your composition.

I take numerous stock photo's of sky and keep in them a folder for this purpose.

Give it a try

Regards,

Jeff

I gotta tel you this...

rosserx, I was just reading your signature and was looking at the camera gear you have. Then I read Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home. What's this I thought... this guy's loaded by why tell us how much his house is worth?

I then Googled "Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home" and I see it's not your house but the name of a camera bag!

What an idiot I am - can't stop tittering though

Us Brits eh?
