Default Winter Fungi

Here is a shot I took the other day walking across a field just shocked me fungi was still about.

Original :

Then put into photoshop and decided I didn't like the mud on the top or the slight mud in the ice on the left so used the "Healing Brush" and the "Clone Tool" to make them go away

Edited :

I'm not sure if I'm happy with the compostition yet, might try and do the "Thirds Rule" what do you think ?

The snow definitely looks more pure after your cleaning up. I think you definitely could have done with sharper focus and better lighting on the mushroom though. In situ, some kind of reflector might have been enough, bouncing back some of the light thrown up by the snow; in post, you may be able to use masks to apply a bit more light and sharpness to it.

The colors in your first picture has better contrast than your second picture. Overall I love the composition
