I rode bikes for over a quarter of a century myself (bloody hell that makes me sound old!)

Never had me none of that Milwaukee iron, I alway rode rice-burners as we affectionately called them here (Japanese bikes).

Only rode a Harley once, when I was 17. It was a chopper that a bikie neighbor had - I think from memory it was made from a 1942 model, it had a foot clutch and a stick shift!

He cheerfully told me "take it for a spin around the block but if you drop it I'll kill you".

Needless to say I crawled around the block in first gear.

Keep up the good work,

Cheers,

Gerard

Default Riding a Harley

Yeah, once you own a Harley, you can't own anything else... I have a 06 Softail Custom. All though I would also like to own a Crotch Rocket just to ride from time to time.
It cost me 27K, wanted one all my life, when my last child moved out, I told the Wife "I'm going down to the Harley Dealer and Buy me a Bike" and that day I rode it home.. Love it, [ Freedom of the Road" the roar of the engine, wind in your face and you can smell everything as you pass... Heres a Video I filmed from my Harley with a friend in front...
Happy New Year Ged,, Sit in the Seat and enjoy the ride...

Default Great shot

That's right up there with "dogs playing pool", or "dogs playing poker"

That was great Tom, thanks for the ride. It makes me want to rush out and buy a bike again!

Not a bad song either though after playing it through I turned the sound down and watched again with my favourite of all time - Born to be wild - woo hoo.

Thanks again,

Cheers
