Post Flower Pots - Hopewell Rocks Nat'l Park

Original Canon xTi - Sigma 10-20 lens - pic shot CR ISO 100, f13,EP-AV, 1/125

The original photgraph was headed for the reject bin but decided after reading article on DPS about susing PSE to approximate ND filter though it was worth a try as I learn the tool. Did a bit extra as learning reinforcement. I have been learning PSE as I go for last three months

Adjustments in post pros

1. Adjust lighting levels to identify all persons in photgraph. There is people to right of flower pot and another in front of flower pot.
2. Removed all people except man in lower right of pic
3. Added Gradient Map to approx ND filter to bring down sky brightness a bit
4.changed hat color on man in lwer right from red to yellow
5. Cropped pic
6. Reduced image size

Comments invited

Thanks

Tony

Exposure wise all that worked payed off. However, there appears to be lose of detail in the ground on the new image. The dirt looks soft.
