Wow, wonderful restoration. Thanks for the tips. I have a photo of my Mum as a baby that I've been wanting to restore for ages but didn't know where to start. Think I'll give it a go now!

This is a really good job. One thing though... There is still a crease in the pants of the man right behind the crouching father. But great job, again.

Default School Days

New to DPS but after seeing this thread thought I might show some of my handiwork!
The original photo is 36" long by 8" high and it took four image scans to complete. Then of course had to stitch them together. Used an old version of PhotoImpact for that process. Then went on to Paint Shop Pro for the dodging, burning, smudging, cloning, smoothing and whatever else I could think of. Took a bit of time but was worth it I believe. The old photograph had been rolled up for some 55 years or so!
