I think the retouching ruins the beauty of the portrait. The woman is beautiful without the filter over her skin. There's a time and place and retouching, but not on this shot or subject.

I'm sorry, but I can't see anything other than a surface blur applied. Which under worse condition takes about 1 minute.

I like the second one but the unicorn kept taking my attention away from her face.

I greatly dislike photos done with Portrait Pro in particular. It adds too much fakeness and every photo I have seen is like that....:the photo was fine before.

I really hate the look on plastic skin. People have pores and blemishes. Why don't photographers want to show them?

I like the before better.

I am also a believer that the origonal photo is better for a few reasons:

- The slanting horizon gives a more natural look to the portrait (horizontal is generally better but not always!)

- The slight change to the eyebrows is good but i wouldnt have edited much more i think...

- The eyes look like they are made of glass.

Default good start

Some people really like the softened skin on portraits...for me this is a bit too much, but not horrible. I used to use surface blur before we discovered noise removal plugins...we usually use those to soften skin (in CS4) and then mask back in detail where you want it, cause let's face it, some people want to look like Barbie The thing that doesn't sit right for me is the shadow under her bottom lip has been changed too much, removing the definition in that area, and changing her expression. Keep up the efforts
