Default Fender Bass

Its a 1979 P-Bass I actually bought brand new in 1980, I'm the one and only owner. And no its not for sale!

before:
fender-original

after:
fender-final

In Photoshop I made a selection of the bass and feathered it by 1 pixel and created a new layer via copy. Below that I created a gradient layer. Opened Illustrator and created the sun rays and saved as an AI file. Back in Photoshop I placed the sun rays above the gradient layer, Applied a little blur and knocked down the opacity a bit. Imported the the image into Lightroom where I converted it to B&W and tweaked levels and rotated to landscape.

The way you have made the picture black and white gives it more prominence...

Keep up the great work

Nice work. I had an older model, but I (stupidly) sold it.

Thank you all for your comments. And especially thanks to the admins for not tolerating any...I have a few choice words in my head. I'll just let it go at that.
