Default 1984 Wedding Film Restoration

So I booked a "renewing of the vows wedding ceremony" next month and my client asked me to restore some of their original film photographs from 1984 negatives she had burried in the box, and me, having very little experience with film (aside from the throw aways my mom used to buy me) took them in and had them put onto a disc. I am now editing each one trying to restore them best I can. I would love to know from you all how I am doing and if I could do this better. So heres the before and afters
Before

After

So these are not my pictures to be clear. To start I reduced the noise in all my shots, then use an unsharp mask to make them a little clearer. In this shot I cropped out some of the distracting objest and replaced the colors to make them more natural and less purple. I use a screen to brighten their faces and clear the rest of the layer to darken the edges of the shot. I also replaced the greens in the picture with more saturated brighter greens using the color replace enhancement.

In PS the use of heal brush tool and clone stamp tools are your best friend in restoration for damaged or missing colours as for examples like your I think the use of satuation/contrast and USM to mention a few really bring out and pop photos

cheers

It's quite a difficult one as they are so small in the frame, I think you have done a really good job.

definitely clone out the word room and fix the coloring around her shoes on her feet... otherwise, good work and smart idea to have the negatives put on a cd.

oh, and you might want to consider cropping them to normal print size 4x6, 5x7 etc in case they want them printed or framed.

I definitely agree, clone out the word 'room', and crop to some standard sizes, but other than those minor suggestions, great job considering the original shot.
