Smile Church Altar

Hey everyone, i took this image at my church the other day of an altar that we dont really use, its next to a window, so i saw the rays of light hitting it through the window and I had to snap it!

Altar (original)

However I wanted to make it look a little more interesting. I put it into lightroom, adjusted the tones and the exposure a little, desaturated it a tad, then put it into photoshop and edited out the background and darkened the image a little more. Here's the end result:

Altar

Original EXIF:

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 50 mm
Lens: Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II

What do you guys think?

I like the change but it looks a blown on the right. Not sure if you can sort that out so it evens up a little

I agree, it does look a little blown out, i tried to adjust it by reducing the exposure in lighroom, but it affected the whole image too much. I reckon i could put it into photoshop, and select the area, so that way it would only affect that part of the image i guess
