Default Boston Terrier

My brother's Boston Terrier is a bundle of non-stop energy. When he "took a break" I laid down in front of him to get a level shot. Do you think I pushed the colors too much in the after version? I also got rid of the redness in his eye and cropped the image to (hopefully) draw you into his eye. What do you guys think?

thanks for looking!

The redness in the corners of his eyes are natural...making them white make them look unnatural. There is also a lot of noise in the background...did you mean to do that? Otherwise, I think you did a good job with the image capture and crop. The dog looks sharp and it helps tremendously when you get down on their level for the photo.

Thanks for your comments Anne! When I take a fresh look at the image I see what you're saying. The eye redness is a natural feature not to be confused with say, removing acne blemishes from a face shot. I guess I got over zealous in prettying up the dog!

I think you went a tad overboard with both the sharpening and the saturation levels. If you notice the jeans are pixelating. Also with your conversion the whitness in the puppies legs are blown out.
