Default Need some foreground interest? Invent it.

I recently went Paragliding and to my delight I was allowed to take my camera. Not the easist scenario as you have to be very careful not to drop it and everything is a long way away.

I got this shot but there are hundreds like it from everyone on flickr. It needs something.

Before

So I took another photo from the flight which did not have such a good backgroud and pasted in my feet. Instant foreground interest!

Paragliding over Oludeniz

They keys to getting right were:
  • Using the same develop presets in Lightroom for both shots
  • Choosing some "legs" with same lighting conditions as the background. This mainly meant the sun from the same direction
  • Careful masking to hide the joins
