Default My daughter Sofia (before and after)

HI!
This is my first "before and after" post!
I made simple opearations using photoshop cs3:
1) duplicate layer
2) ADJUST LEVELS
3) adjust a little the saturation
4) apply a gradient map (to convert to black and white) and put the opacity of the layer to 20%
5) apply the high pass filter -> radius 2 px -> bend modeverlay
6) use the burn tool (range:shadow, exposure:10%) to emphasize the shadows
7) use the dodge tool (range: higlights, exposure: 13%) to emphasize the lights and in particoular the eyes
8) use the blur tool to soften the face
9) apply the filter distort --> lens correction --> vignette

Thanks!

You did a great job! I think the vignetting works very well here to put the focus on your daughter.

Good job. I'm going to try it myself. Thanks for the steps you posted.

Very nice edit. It's just the right amount given that the subject is a child (no fake eyelashes or lip tints!) and the vignettes are a lovely touch.

It's very well done. Understated, with just the right amount of emphasis to it.
