Default Daughter- More than a simple B/W Conversion

On this picture I had to do a lot of work. Her eyes were red, she had a lot of sand in one of her arms, and I didn't like how her feet were showing on the picture, so I cloned all these things out of the picture and fixed her red eyes.

I then changed the pict to b/w in a new layer. After that, I added a second layer, changed the Hue/Saturation. Added a third layer, changed the color balance.
On a final layer, I added the Lighting Effect filter (Omni with a sking tone color light) and a some vignette.

Here are the original and final results.

Comments/suggestions are welcome.

I like what you've done with the shot. There is a light spot in the water to the right of her hands which distracts me tho, maybe this could be darked a touch?

Here's how to deal with "red-eye":

Red eye Reduction
Double click Quick mask icon
Change masking color to green-opacity 60%
Paint mask over eyes
Click icon next to Quick mask
Select> Inverse
Image> adjustments> Desaturate
Add new adjustment layer-Levels
Move both input sliders towards the centre of the range until you are satisfied.
Layers> Flatten image

Regards, Ken

Thanks for the tip Ken, that came out pretty good. I'll use it that technique next time I have to fix red eyes.
