Default My angel

Hello,
me english isnt very good, so can detaily describe, how i did that. I just can say, that this is my first try to edit portrait more seriuosly, ant it took about 1 hour to do that work. As a guide I was using Lynda.com "Photoshop CS3 for Photographers" lessons.

It is a nice shot with good composition and potential.
The after is a bit overexposed (overblown - overdone) to my tatse.
The colors are out of balance and they don't look natural.
You are in the right path, keep it up!

I have to agree that your after shot looks over processed and fake. The additions are more of an appealing image but again none of them look like a real picture. They have a look of fakeness about them.

I found the original in your photostream and did a quick fix on that following my previous suggestions.
Let me know if you like it.

I think you did a good job of processing the image for him.

Peano,

I like your approach. The light gradient works very nicely.

Whoa whoa... folks hold on here.

What was your intention of the first edit? Was it to make it look cross-processed with a hint of old film? If so, then you succeeded.

If your intention was to make it look like a glamour shot, then you failed horribly.

I for one happen to like the first edit, it's interesting and not the average run of the mill portrait edit session.,

yes, you are right. At first i wanted to make it just a nice photo, but when i looked, how cross process style look, I liked it much more. Because photo then looks more "live" to me.
