Smile Partially B&W

Another copy of the picture on a layer converted to B&W. Adding a gradient mask and then painting the bush to the left with color and shifting sides for the b&w and the color for the tree in the center. Not the best photo nor photoshopping but I liked it and I'm really new to this stuff so I just wanted to post something to this amazing forum.

Careful you don't anger the contrast monster.

It's an interesting idea. I don't think it fits this particular picture very well, but it could be something worth playing around with.

haha.. Yes, maybe so, but I'm not good at this, could you point out something in the picture where I can see what that the contrast is going wild?

I think it could've been more faded. Maybe I'll try to get a less bright picture?

Thank you both for comments =)

I mean, that the contrast is GONE... zip, zilch... nada... GONE! Things blur into one another.

If you increase the color contrast on both layers you will have a more dramatic effect.
Let me know how it goes....
